Join Us For
Calling all clinical supervisors! Feeling overwhelmed or perhaps a little burnt? (Or as Maria likes to say, "a little crispy around the edges".) Then join us for this three hour training focused on you! In this safe space, we will utilize art and sandtray interventions to process your experience as a clinical supervisor, identifying hurdles, solutions and tapping into your superhero powers!
Presented By
A self-described geek, Maria Laquerre-Diego is a CEO and Owner who is committed to increasing access to mental health services and breaking down the stigma surrounding therapy services. As a therapist turned CEO, Maria has developed a unique perspective when it comes to mental health and the barriers surrounding mental health treatment. Influenced by her time at New Mexico State University in the Family and Consumer Science department, and University of New Hampshire’s Marriage and Family Therapy department, Maria has turned her dedication to giving back and supporting future generations of therapists. In addition to supporting mental health providers, Maria takes an active role in addressing the continued stigma of mental health services through the use of pop culture – everything from movies and television shows to superheroes and Disney characters. Maria has spoken about mental health at several local events, has served as an officer on professional boards and has provided training to clinicians all over the country while maintaining her and her family’s roots as Aggies! Outside of the office, Maria can be found spending time with her family and loved ones, exploring the world through travel, and creating cosplays for herself, her husband and their two little ones. Hybrid Training
This training offers 12 in person seats at the New Hope Therapy Center office in Las Cruces, NM. The remainder of the seats are via Zoom. Please choose your preferred ticket carefully!
Materials Needed
Paper, collage and writing materials
Sandtray and figures
Those attending in person, sandtrays will be provided for your use.
If you do not have access to a sandtray, you are welcome to use small figures, cut out images, collage material or simply writing/sketching for the activities.
Of Note
This is a hybrid training, offering both in person seats and virtual seats. You will receive an email with the Zoom link and office address and any handouts three days prior to the training.
This training will provide 3 CE Credits (NM Counseling and Therapy Practice Board Provider Number CCE020908)
If attending virtually, you must be present with your video on for the entire duration of our training to be eligible for CEs.
Training Objectives
Participants will identify their supervisor super powers.
Participants will describe the three roles of a supervisor.
Participants will discuss limitations and cultural considerations in clinical supervision.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
A New Hope Therapy Center’s Cancellation and Refund Policy will be as follows to assure consistency and is applicable to all trainings offered by A New Hope Therapy Center.

Registrations canceled on or before two weeks prior to the event is refundable but subject to a $25 administrative fee.

Registrations canceling with less than two weeks will not receive a refund. The refund and cancellation policy will not be waived. Registration fees may be transferred to another individual for the same event.

In the event A New Hope Therapy Center must cancel the conference due to unforeseen circumstances, A New Hope Therapy Center will refund the cost of registration. However, A New Hope Therapy Center does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging.
