I am 7th generation Northern New Mexicaña having moved to southern part of the state 2 years ago. As a native New Mexican, I feel kindred to our entire state and am proud of my eclectic roots. I received my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University as well as my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from NMHU.

I have worked in the public school setting as a school social worker / counselor since 2015. I also have experience working with teens in residential treatment setting along with leading psychoeducational groups for teens. I focus on Client-Centered therapy and Motivational Change to work toward therapy goals. I incorporate mindfulness, imagination, and play into CBT, helping shift negative self-talk and perceptions of self-image. In a world of uncertainty and fear, I strive to build clients up and help them find their peace.

“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” ~unknown
