Hi, I’m Janelle!
I am committed to helping people heal, grow, and reclaim their strength.
I was born and raised in New Mexico. After returning home from the military I realized I had a desire to build deeper connections, understand people's stories, and empower others to heal. I received my Master of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University, building on my earlier studies in Arts and Criminal Justice. My military background, combined with that foundation, offered a unique perspective on human behavior, resilience, and discipline.
With over 8 years of clinical experience, I specialize in trauma - informed care, substance abuse treatment, and emotional wellness. I have experience working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma/attachment, healing, grief/loss, relationship challenges, addiction/recovery, and identity exploration/empowerment.
My approach is strengths - based, person - centered, and attachment - focused, blending CBT, DBT, MI, IPT, and mindfulness. I believe in creating a safe, engaging, and compassionate space where my clients feel understood, empowered, and ready to grow. Whether you’re working through pain, finding clarity, or trying to find your way through life I will walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity.
I currently offer both in - person and virtual sessions, and I look forward to meeting you - and supporting you on your healing journey.
I believe that healing is possible for everyone. For me, H.O.P.E. means Healing, Opportunity,
Purpose, and Empowerment - and a reminder “Hold On, Pain Ends.”
Like butterflies, we are capable of profound transformation when given the space to grow.
