This 6-hour live webinar will explore how the therapeutic powers of play couched in seminal play therapy theories of child-centered play therapy, cognitive behavioral play therapy, bibliotherapy, and creative, expressive play therapy interventions support children with anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, separation anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and selective mutism as well as specific phobias. We will examine what the evidence in the research literature shows about the use of play therapy with children suffering from anxiety and participants will have an experiential opportunity to practice some interventions and address treatment planning.
