I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Mexico. I started working towards my career raising my family. I worked my way through the pressures of everyday life as I achieved my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology (with a minor in Criminal Justice) from Western New Mexico University graduating with honors (Cum Laude) and as the outstanding student in Psychology. I earned my Master of Science in Christian Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2019. I have experience in clinical settings with adults, adolescents and families helping them with trauma, crisis situations, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other presenting issues. My training and experience includes trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy and crisis management and I have completed training in telehealth therapy. Having been born and raised in the small towns of Southwest New Mexico, I understand the culture and the stresses that come with our everyday lives.
Although my Master’s Degree has a focus in Christianity I feel it is important to offer each of my clients a holistic approach and consider their individual needs, experiences, abilities, and beliefs. Love, faith, and family are my centers and my goal is to help my clients find their balance in life and happiness.
