I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have practiced in the Las Cruces area for 25 years. Earning my Bachelor Degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University (NMSU) in 1996, and my Master Degree in Social Work in 2002. Being a native resident to Las Cruces, I have provided various levels of practice to include individual, group, and community-based services in multiple settings. My focus has been dedicated to the socioeconomic stresses and challenges youth and families face: juvenile justice, school system, adoption/foster care system, and inpatient psychiatric care. I have also worked in the area of teaching and mentoring college level Social Work student interns. My interests include helping those with self-awareness, coping, and self-care through art and mindfulness when life gives us trials and learning experiences to grow from.
