Group Therapy

Do you feel alone in what you are experiencing?

Could you benefit from a little additional support during this time?

Do you work better with some accountability?

Groups are often a helpful format of therapy for people who may be struggling with similar stress. Our groups are offered in addition to individual, relational or family therapy - with our providers or your therapist within the community!

See our current groups listed below and let us know if you would like to join us!

What is Group Therapy?

Group therapy involves one or more therapists who lead a group of roughly five to ten patients. Typically, groups meet for hour or 90 minutes each week. Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only.

Why should I attend Group Therapy?

Joining a group of strangers may sound intimidating at first, but group therapy provides benefits that individual therapy may not. Psychologists say, in fact, that group members are almost always surprised by how rewarding the group experience can be. Groups can act as a support network and a sounding board. Other members of the group often help you come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge, and hold you accountable along the way.

Who else will be in the room?

The therapist, or two, who will be facilitating group along with your fellow group members. Group members are often screened to ensure compatibility on issues and goals.
